United Methodist Women (UMW) is a national organization of 800,000 members whose mission is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders, and be advocates for social justice. Members raise $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth in the U.S. and in numerous countries around the world.

How can I get involved with United Methodist Women?

Teddy Bear Ministry

 

This group meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at
1:00pm in the Adult Meeting Room to make bears to comfort young patients in the Pediatric Unit at Northwest Community Hospital. As of April 2013, over 12,000 bears have been delivered. Sewing skills are welcome but not required.

Have a Heart Pillow Ministry


This group meets the 1st Thursday of the month at 9:00 am in the Adult Meeting Room to make heart-shaped fleece pillows for breast cancer patients at Alexian Brothers and Lutheran General Hospitals. No sewing skills are required. Contact Nancy Cairns with any questions
